These notes are meant to be a guideline only. Eagle required badges require work over a period of time. Scouts are responsible for reading the requirements in the Merit Badge book to determine if they can finish them prior to a class or not. Scouts are not required to do their work ahead of time, and will receive a partial for their work completed in class as well as instructions on how to proceed for each requirement.

Merit Badge Checklist: Do you have everything listed below?
- Merit Badge Book: Read completely prior to class. Some instructors will not allow the scout to take the class if the book is not read. (No Refund)
- Blue Card: signed by your Unit Leader (SM) before coming to class.
- Worksheets: download and print from Meritbadge.org website.
- Scout Handbook
- Notebook
- Pen/pencil for note taking
- Class A uniform: Must be worn to class.
- All materials pertaining to the Merit Badge, including but not limited to: verification of work done outside of class, necessary signatures, presentation notes, and all items outlined in the Merit Badge Book and the worksheets.
- Lunch: There are no vending machines or restaurants near the park, so pack a lunch.

***Please Note: Effective September 30, 2018, all scouts should cc at least one parent in all communications with Mrs. Morris. Please resend if you have not done so. Thank you***!
I've been notified by some of the scouts that the wording in the class description is a little misleading regarding working ahead on badges and sign-offs. I have advised staff and they are working on it. Regardless of the City's wording, before being signed-off on any requirement, ALL scouts must:
*Attend the class.(That's the meet with your counselor part).
*Work on their requirements there (though you can work ahead, you will still be a part of the class discussion).
*Present their blue card signed by their scoutmaster.
If you need an appointment, please contact Wilderness Park at: wildpark@ArcadiaCA.gov to schedule the appointment. They will let you know exactly what time's I have available. Be sure to reply to them to let them know you want that time, and make sure you have received the confirmation sheet from them as this is your ticket to get signed-off.
